What can I say? I had a tremendous 12 weeks. Animating by yourself is like golfing by yourself. Animating within Animation Mentor is like golfing with several dozen people, with Tiger Woods as your caddy. I met some brilliant animators from across the globe and was inundated with the delicious, super sharp feedback I need to continue pushing myself.
My mentor Mike Walling was what my Uncle would call a ‘tremendous Human Person’. A great sense of humour, humility and a razor sharp eye made it a great intro to the program. Had some pretty rad QA’s with former AM students working on Kung-fu Panda, Pixar’s Carlos Baena and even some juicy feedback from Bobby Beck and Chris Chau!
